Singaporean director Nicole Midori Woodford's debut film to premiere at San Sebastian festival

The movie, which took seven years to complete due to a long gestation period and the pandemic, was shot in Singapore and Japan. It will compete for the festival’s Kutxabank-New Directors Award.

Last Saturday, the National Youth Film Awards (NYFA) announced its 20 winners – pulled from over 260 submissions, a record for the Awards. Han was named Winner for Best Direction Award (Jonathan Choo) and DBS Best Picture Award. Sweet Bloom of Night Time Flowers was named Winner for Best Production Design Award (Julie Heather Liew).
